Archbishop Walsh Academy & Southern Tier Catholic School
Branding/Marketing: A market research project was completed to establish a clear brand identify for the school - encompassing surveys of internal and external audiences, followed by in-depth focus groups and analysis of the school's position in the marketplace. Upon completion of the research, materials were redesigned to reflect new messaging and an overall integrated marketing plan was recommended and implemented (to include design of advertisements, copy for radio ads and voice work). The website for the school (www.stcswalsh.org) was reworked to accurately reflect the new branding of the school to include design ideas, content, photography and links to social media. All school materials were redesigned (alumni magazine, admissions, brochures, direct mail pieces and advertisements) so brand consistency was achieved.
Fundraising/Event Management: The school's existing auction was transitioned from an event earning net revenue of $9,000 to net revenue of $45,000 in the first year, $95,000 in the second year and $125,000 in the third year. This included branding the event, structuring sponsorships, ads, an auction booklet, and identifying all opportunities for fundraising as well as creating an enjoyable evening for attendees.
Austin Locksmithing & Security, Inc.
Marketing: Created a new website (www.austinlockandsecurity.com) to reflect the professionalism and expertise offered by this company.
Fundraising: Instituted a complete fundraising operation to include establishing donor management software and protocols for recognizing gifts, writing template letters for donor acknowledgement, and writing and designing a first-ever annual appeal letter for the organization. Provided guidance for their annual event, Heavenly Harvest, to include the structuring of sponsorships and ads, design of a sponsorship sheet and program, training on how to make an ask, and overall advice on how to make the event more financially successful.
Challenger Learning Center of the Twin Tier Region, Inc.
Fundraising: Instituted a complete fundraising operation to include establishing donor management software and protocols for recognizing gifts, creating gift levels, writing template letters for donor acknowledgement, writing and designing a case for support and managing the design of a new fundraising brochure. Grant writing and assistance with events was also provided.
Marketing: Managed the design and created content for the new website of Dina’s Restaurant in Ellicottville, NY. www.Dinas.com
Communications: Created an internal newsletter that highlights employee achievements and industry news.
Marketing: Conducted two market research projects for this Liberal Arts Christian College located in Houghton, NY. These projects included identifying research questions, formulating electronic survey questions, distributing surveys and analyzing results. Additionally, focus groups were organized and conducted in order to provide a balanced approach to quantitative and qualitative data.
Jamestown Community College
Communications: Will present a training session to employees within the Continuing Education division of the college, focused on writing within brand standards, creating a succinct call to action that assists with SEO activities, and identifying persuasive writing strategies to assist in reaching the college's identified audience.
Mud, Sweat n’ Gears
Communications/Public Relations: Administered two PR campaigns to communicate the location change of this specialty ski shop in Ellicottville, NY as well as their aesthetic design approach to the new store and grand opening. Local media picked up the story, to include print, radio and television coverage as well as national media specifically reporting on the ski and snowboard industry.
Research / Fundraising: Conducted a board survey to assess the best strategic path for fundraising and provided recommendations for moving forward as well as potential marketing opportunities.
Communications: Administered a persuasive writing seminar to the advancement and communications staff of this university located in Niagara, NY.
Marketing: Managed the design and created content for the new website of this financial services firm, located in Buffalo, NY. www.prattcollard.com
St. Bonaventure University
Marketing / Communications: Work within admissions to write copy for materials, a social media strategy, update the website as well as design of eblasts and assigned publications. Assist with marketing efforts for specified university events and provide scripts for events when needed. Support communications staff where needed.
Communications / Public Relations: Coordinate the public relations and marketing strategy for the North Union Complete Street Restoration Project in Olean, NY. To include press releases, social media, radio interviews, video, photography and design of support materials. Act as a communication resource for local merchants and work with the City of Olean, architects and a public outreach organization to ensure the community is engaged and informed.
Marketing / Communications: Evaluated and recommended strategies to assist in marketing efforts. Designed new brochures and rack cards to reflect the brand of the organization.
